PsycTech Applications, LLC Privacy Policy

PsychTech Applications, LLC (PsychTech) recognizes the importance of protecting the confidentiality and privacy of both User’s and examinees’ personal information and related confidential data. Personal information is information that alone, or in combination with other data, can be used to identify an individual.   

These privacy policies may be modified or updated periodically, without notice. Check for updates to these policies regularly. A change in the “last updated” date above indicates the policies have been updated.

By using PsychTech’s mobile Application (Application), User agrees to the terms of these privacy policies along with PsychTech’s Terms and Conditions of Use. Use of the Application constitutes acceptance by User of these privacy policies. Use of PsychTech services and products after updates have been implemented to these policies indicates agreement to be bound by the updates.

Privacy Policy Regarding User Personal Information

This policy explains PsychTech’s practices with respect to the handling of User’s personal information. The Application may only be accessed by registering as a User. Users are psychologists, examiners, and other persons professionally qualified to administer the tests contained in the Application. PsychTech will collect and maintain certain personal information for Users, such as name, mailing address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, email address, professional license and credentials, and log-in ID and password information. PsychTech has implemented technical and organizational controls to protect the personal information collected and maintained about Users. PsychTech will not use any personal information in any manner without User’s permission unless required to by law, such as in response to subpoenas or court orders. PsychTech does not sell or share personal information about Users to any third party, except to the limited extent necessary to provide PsychTech’s own products and services.

Privacy Policy Regarding Examinee Personal Information

This policy explains PsychTech’s practices with respect to the examinee’s electronic protected health information (ePHI) that is submitted and collected through the Application.

PsychTech employs technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to prevent disclosure of ePHI in violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1995 (HIPAA). PsychTech will not deliberately disclose ePHI to outside parties. PsychTech will use and disclose ePHI only as required or permitted under HIPAA or by law, such as in response to subpoenas or court orders. If PsychTech receives a request by an examinee for access to their ePHI in PsychTech’s possession, PsychTech will notify the User (whose registration is affiliated with the examinee) of the request. 

The User agrees that PsychTech may use non-personally identifiable information and examinee data for analytical, research, and other purposes by statistically aggregating de-identified data. PsychTech will first ensure the data is anonymized and no examinee may be identified individually, such that the aggregated data no longer constitutes protected health information or individually identifiable health information as defined by federal law.
