Inventory of Legal Knowledge
The Inventory of Legal Knowledge is published by PAR and it is considered the gold standard for detecting feigned deficits in legal knowledge. PsychTech and ILK projects to further develop the test’s utility and accuracy are scheduled to focus primarily on extending the ILK’s use with special populations, such as ID defendants, juveniles, and Spanish-speakers.

Trial Competency and the Mendocino Method
The Mendocino Method has been designed to provide outpatient competency restoration services to defendants in outpatient and jail-based settings in the local community, in contrast to inpatient competency restoration services traditionally provided in remote institutions. The Mendocino Method and PsychTech project is focused on further developing the overall competency test as well as collecting item-level data on chapter quizzes for each training module.

Test of Malingered Incompetence
The Test of Malingered Incompetence consists of two, 25-item independent scales— General Knowledge (TOMI-G) and Legal Knowledge (TOMI-L). These scales utilize a 2AFC strategy to screen for malingered impairment in competence to stand trial. The TOMI and PsychTech project is geared toward collecting item-level data for further test development and revision of both scales.
